Menstrual cups are used as menstrual hygiene products which is inserted into the vagina during periods. They are made of insert medical grade silicone material which is hypoallergenic and causes no irritation to body or skin. Most of medical products used are made of silicone such as catheters , vacuum cups etc.

How to use it :

Fold the cup and insert it vaginal, while squatting or standing with 1 leg on high table. at 90 degree at knees.
feel the rim of the cup to check if it’s properly open, you may feel and click after insertion . Similar when removing the cup, gently pull the stem down, break the seal and remove the cup.
Who can use the cup ?
All the women and even young girls can use the cup safely regardless of the mode of delivery or sexually active.
How to know which size fits you best?
Large cup can be used after vaginal delivery, medium adult women who are sexually active with no deliveries or had cesarean delivery. Small cup size is for young teenagers. Still you can choose by trail and error if there is a leak from the cup size you are using.

cleaning and sterilisation
Before each use wash it with soap and water and reinsert it.
After the use wash and store in clean and dry place.
Sterilisation can done by leaving the cup in boiling water for 15 minutes or can use a steam steriliser.
How it works?
When inserted, it forms a Vacuum seal around vagina and prevent any leaks, menstrual blood gets collected in the cup , which is removed after 12 hours emptied , wash and re inserted.
Is the stem felt while walking?
no , if it’s felt means you have not inserted it properly, it should be high enough not to feel from outside vulva.
Is the cup falls out during peeling or defecating?
No they don’t fall while using washrooms , still on with it , you can safely visit it as many numbers of times you want .
Is it safe to use with IUCD?
Yes it’s absolutely safe to use them with IUCD, ask your doctor to keep the thread short to avoid accidental pulling of thread. There is absolutely zero chance of ascending infection with them.
Is it causes endometriosis?
No there is no study to show it causes endometriosis.
